CHANEL Vitalumière Aqua

BB and CC creams have taken over the American cosmetic market, promising skincare benefits and sun protection in addition to light coverage. Personally, I never really jumped on board the BB/CC train, remaining loyal to my tinted moisturizer. Every summer, The minimal makeup trend pops up in every magazine, and like the all-star American consumer I am, I set out for the best “natural” makeup I can get my hands on.

Last month, however, my quest came to a halt when I opened my issue of InStyle. A sample of Chanel Vitalumière Aqua in my shade sat right in the middle of the page. FATE (or a hefty Chanel advertising budget)? It only took one application and I found myself at the Chanel counter. Disclaimer: This is my first Chanel product. I have a minor addiction to cosmetics but Chanel makeup always seemed unjustifiable. But this is justified because it cost only $3 more than my usual tinted moisturizer and it’s so much better (logical, right?). So, long story short, this product is magical and gives you the perfect amount of coverage (and it has SPF). Chanel promises the product will transform into a “subtly powdered halo.”

So I guess if you don’t want to look like an angel, you shouldn’t buy this.

  1. I tried this in store recently and I was amazed how liquid it really was but it looked amazing on the back of my hands. Maybe a future purchase? Lucky you 🙂 Lovely review
