Are You Drinking Enough Water?

How much water do you drink a day? Probably not enough. Let’s change that.

It seems so simple. We usually have very easy access to unlimited amounts of drinking water, but often forget the benefits of good old H2O. I was inspired after a discussion with a facialist whose number one recommendation for clear, dewy skin was water. Is it really that easy? How much money have I thrown away on skin products…. ?

So, I gave it a little test run. Guess what? It works. I will always recognize the importance of a good skin care regimen, but water is a simple way to start improving your skin and overall lifestyle.

Your Water Bottle is Your BFF

It’s good to get into a habit of bringing your water wherever you go. If it’s with you, you’ll definitely drink it. I love my BKR water bottle because it keeps my water ice cold and is the perfect size to bring everywhere. The glass bottle doesn’t allow chemicals to leach into your drink and make you sick, plus it’s easy to wash. The silicone sleeve slips off easily and comes in a rainbow of colors.

Substitute Water

For every cup of coffee or tea you drink, drink at least 1 glass of water. Coffee dehydrates you, so it’s crucial to replenish your system with water. If you’re thirsty, it means you are already dehydrated. Alleviate the problem by constantly drinking water throughout the day.

Good Morning, Good Night

Keep a glass of water by your bedside table and drink one glass of water before you go to sleep and one immediately upon waking. I always start my day with a glass of lukewarm water with lemon (coffee follows quickly).

It takes about a week to notice a difference in your skin. Not only does your skin look better, you feel better, too.
