Coachella Beauty Cheat Sheet

I am not attending Coachella this weekend (or next weekend, or probably ever), but several of my peeps are headed off to Indio this weekend. Here’s what I’d bring if I was tagging along.

HAIR

Bumble and bumble Surf Spray is a industry favorite for a reason. A couple of sprays will leave you with perfectly undone hair. Bonus points if you spray dry shampoo like Philip B.‘s into your crown. The messier the better; Coachella is not blow-out friendly.

SKIN
Coachella Body All You Need is Blush 2Coachella Body All You Need is BlushMalin + Goetz Eucalyptus Deodorant is my current obsession. It doesn’t contain any of the harsh chemicals found in most antiperspirants and does its job well. It’s perfect for a long day in the sun. And I’m back for my sunscreen lecture! This PCA skin sunscreen is so light and is the perfect companion to a tinted moisturizer. Before you tuck yourself in, apply Josie Maran’s cult favorite, Argan Oil. Your parched skin will drink it up, and leave you with a fresh face in the morning.

MAKEUP
Coachella Makeup All you need is blushLaura Mercier’s tinted moisturizer provides the perfect amount of coverage. Set it with a light powder or even a bronzer, and follow with NARS Multiple (any cream blush will do). A couple swipes of mascara will do the trick, and finish the look off with a bold lip. I’m so glad I tried this L’Orèal stain (it’s the perfect dupe for the YSL one) because it lasts all day and looks even better after a couple of reapplications. A must-have for Coachella, right?

NAILS
Coachella Nails All You Need is BlushNeutrals and music festivals are a no-no. What’s the fun in a pale pink? I picked my two favorite “wild” polishes, YSL’s Bleu Majorelle and Deborah Lippmann’s Happy Birthday. Now you’re ready to party.

  1. She is so great. Such a good writer and great product recommendations. I want to try all these things (although I do already use the Laura mercier tinted moisturizer.) I think I should subscribe because I love her suggestions for chemical free antiperspirant and good quality sunscreen – trying to go in that friction these days.
