LA City Guide: Larchmont

Who doesn’t love trying something new? I’m constantly on the lookout for the best new beauty supply store or hottest brunch spot. Fortunately, the city of Los Angeles has a never ending stream of entertainment, and I’m here to share my favorite places, all divided up by neighborhoods.

LARCHMONT

Larchmont is my favorite area to spend a few hours with friends. There’s great shopping and great food (my only two requirements), and the occasional star sighting to top it off. Let’s break it down.

SHOPPING

Malin + Goetz: This brand is my jam. The products have great ingredients, and actually work (this is a rare combination these days). Not to mention the scents are to DIE for…

Larchmont Beauty Supply: aka, MECCA. Creds to my product junkie mother for introducing me to this gem. I could spend hours in here, and the sales associates are very knowledgable. By far the best beauty supply in the land.

Diptyque Larchmont

DiptyqueI almost crashed my car when I saw the brand new Diptyque store. It’s the only one in the area, and it’s heavenly. You have not experienced a candle until it’s a Diptyqye candle.

notable mention: Pickett Fences is a great spot for LA’s hippest brands. Snag a bag from Clare Viver or a chic button down from Equipment.

DINING

Go Get Em Tiger LarchmontGo Get Em Tiger: Fine lattes are crafted here. The interior is ultra hip: there is no cashier, and you place your order at the coffee “bar”. Warning: the prices are a little steep, but it’s a damn good cup of coffee.

babycakes larchmont

Babycakes: Yum. It’s vegan baked good heaven in here, but the cupcakes are so good even the anti-vegan can appreciate one.

Larchmont Bungalow Larchmont Bungalow: Creds to my girl Cady for introducing me to Larchmont Bungalow. This brunch haven is always hoppin’. A great spot for dining with friends and people watching.Larchmont Wine + CheeseLarchmont Wine & Cheese: One of my favorite restaurants, ever. It’s beyond laid back and well priced. Stop in for a great sandwich (my favorite is the turkey).

  1. Thank you for posting this! I live in OC, so it’s good to have a reference whenever I am in the area! You hit every aspect I need (especially coffee!).
