Attending a university across the country entails lots of commuting. The travel days are long, and my skin doesn’t cope well with harsh airplane cabin conditions.
But, I figured if Victoria Beckham can travel and look refreshed in her baggage claim candids, then I can, too. Upon further research, I discovered that my makeup was the key to my derma-demise. Ladies, makeup + planes = skin hell.
My sensitive skin is not usually a fan of makeup wipes, but these Ole ones are gentle and smell nice. Use them to remove before and after the flight to ensure skin is cleansed and fresh. Then follow with Glossier Perfecting Skin Tint, which will give you juuuust enough coverage.
Since there aren’t any paparazzi waiting for me at baggage claim, I’m not worried about perfecting my smokey eye in the LAX bathroom. Instead, I reach for products that will give me a little color and coverage. Top it off with a subtle scent and you can step off of the plane in style.
All of these products fit into a little cosmetic pouch I can throw into my carry-on. Trust me, if I can do minimal makeup, you can too.
