Meet Stephanie Flor, Clinique’s new Global Colour Ambassador. She’s worked with everyone from the Real Housewives to J.Lo, and has traveled the globe in search of the latest trends in beauty. I sat down with her last week to pick her brain on some summer makeup tips.

Make Your Bold Lip Last

Hot temperatures call for bright colors. Make the most of your bold lip with the help of a little translucent powder. Apply one coat of lipstick, then blot with translucent powder. Apply a second coat of lipstick and you’re good to go!

“It’s a step I need to do in order to make it last longer.  [The powder] works as a layer between the first lipstick application to the second, and it also gives me a blank canvas so when I apply the second coat on top the color will be stronger with more pigment. [The powder] basically does three things: holds lipstick on all day, makes it look brighter, and also gives it a layer so it’s not going to move anywhere.”
