As much as I adore makeup, I value convenience over everything. If a product can do double duty, it usually has prime real estate on my shelf. During the warmer months, I reach for lighter products (beauty logic, right here). The makeup gods answered my prayers many years ago, and lightweight tinted moisturizers/ BB creams/ CC creams have since invaded the shelves of beauty supplies across the globe. Some boast SPF, some are ultra-hydrating, and some even double as skincare.
Per usual, I can never remain loyal to just one product. These three contenders each possess different qualities, and have a unique position in my routine.
Smashbox Camera Ready BB Cream
SPF 35, decent coverage, and helps control oil production. A great go-to, especially when I know I am going to be in the sun for a prolonged period of time. buy here
NARS Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer
Oil-free, SPF 30, and ultra-moisturizing, I’ve repurchased this a handful of times. Of the three, it has the least amount of coverage. buy here
Chanel Vitalumière Aqua
SPF 10, Oil-Free, and great coverage. Still lightweight, but by far the best texture and color of the three. buy here
